DOUBLE GOLD: San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2023
The nose of the 2022 Triska Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is unapologetically ready to party. Vibrant bursts of pomelo, candied lime, & Meyer lemon are followed by touches of lemongrass, dill, and sliced jalapeño. On the palate the fruit sings: ripe pineapple, lychee, and dragonfruit give off this epic white gummy bear character that brings me back to digging through the candy section at the movie theater. The palate is full yet precise and only sits as long as it needs to before leaving you drooling for another sip.

"NOIR"
Pinot Noir
2021
included in the Mixed Palette, Vibrant Reds, and Six Pack club packs
GOLD: San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2023
The aromatics of the 2021 NOIR is loaded with a very “Pinot Noir-ish” expression of red fruit, notably cherry, cranberry, and black raspberry, with a fun undertone of rhubarb and those cinnamon sugar graham crackers that we eat as kids. On the palate, cherry leads the charge, followed by a more savory cranberry sauce steeped with hibiscus, dried rose hip, and Italian oregano. The tannins have a good flex on them once the fruit passes through the mid palate and into a mocha finish, balanced by the bright acidity we know and love from a Pinot Noir.

Stone Patch
Cabernet Franc 2019
included in the Mixed Palette, Vibrant Reds, and Six Pack club packs
- DOUBLE GOLD: Livermore Valley Uncorked 2022
- GOLD: San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2023
The 2019 Stone Patch Cabernet Franc keeps evolving as it sits in your glass. Give it a swirl at first and you’ll find opulent red fruit, but after about 10 minutes, it reveals a darker fruit character, along with fresh cedar, Thai basil, rosemary, and black pepper. This wine makes you work to find the Cab Franc pyrazine quality so obvious on other examples of the varietal. On the palate, flavors of blueberry, black tea, sage, and rose petal dance on my tongue while the tannins settle on the palate gracefully, allowing one final pop of bright red fruit that lingers through the finish.

West Hill
Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
included in the Mixed Palette, Vibrant Reds, and Six Pack club packs
Coming soon
The inaugural vintage of the 2020 West Hill Cabernet Sauvignon is another fantastic showcase of the beauty of Clone 30. This Cab displays darker fruit aromatics than last releases’ Clone 337, while still lively and fresh. It smells like what I wished the boysenberry syrup at IHOP tasted like. West Hill is redolent of plum, blueberry, sweet rosemary, and a very subtle hint of molasses, all framed by toasted barrel essence. And the palate is simply all-class. The texture makes me think of that one leather jacket that has taken a decade to loosen up, but fits JUST RIGHT. Blackberry, black currant, roasted poblano, and vanilla bean husk sneak onto your tongue and explode on the mid palate, coating your entire mouth. I have really come to love the plush nature of Clone 30 tannins, and I believe this wine could trick anyone into thinking they were drinking a $95 bottle of Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon.
