Our Commitment to Accessibility
Here at Darcie Kent Estate Winery, we want to make our website accessible to the widest possible audience. Anyone should be able to use our site, regardless of their ability or technology. Thus, we seek to increase the accessibility and usability of our website for every user who wants to learn more about us or purchase our wines.
To make this possible, we follow the guidelines set out by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) (link: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1) These guidelines explain how to make content more accessible for people with disabilities.
Our website adheres to the AA-level standards of W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. We seek to adhere to all AAA-level standards as well. For example, this site has been built using code that is compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. That means it displays correctly in current browsers. It should display correctly on future browsers too. We also wrote this copy using the Flesch Reading Ease guidelines. You can learn more about it at www.readable.com
We strive to make our site accessible to everyone. However, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of our website. We are continually seeking out solutions for these areas. If you find that a part of our website is difficult to use, please contact us. You can email our head of Design & Communications, Kailyn Kent, at kailyn.kent@darciekentvineyards.com. You can also call us at 925-243-9039, and ask to speak with our Chief of Operations, Andrew Lauer.
